Glug is a water tracking app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used.
Glug stores your drink log entries (volume in milliliters and timestamp) locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back up your device to iCloud or your computer through the standard iOS backup process. Glug itself has no iCloud sync and no remote servers.
If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Glug will request permission to write water intake data to HealthKit. Glug:
Health integration is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
If you have Glug installed on Apple Watch, your iPhone and Watch sync state directly over your local Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Data synced includes your current intake, daily goal, and container size. Drinks logged on your Watch are saved to your iPhone's local drink log. No data is routed through any external server.
Glug uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to animate the wave display as you tilt your phone. This motion data is used only in real time to drive the on-screen animation and is never stored or transmitted.
Glug does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
Glug does not use any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs beyond what is provided by Apple's operating system frameworks.
Glug does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
